Haydet is the god of Knowledge, Learning, and Invention.
He has the appearance of a gnome male, with a short-cropped brown beard, light brown skin, a bald head, and a pair of spectacles over brown eyes. He wears a dirty smith's apron, and carries his owl companion, Pr'tane, on his shoulder.
Images of Haydet are very common in workshops, halls of learning, and the homes of wizards, dwarves, and gnomes all across Isen. Haydet is worshipped by those who seek learning as a means of self-improvement, and also by those who seek knowledge for more sinister means.
Smiths, in particular, consider Haydet to be a sort of muse, and say they feel his spirit with them whenever they create their best work.
Though few claim to have actually met Haydet in the flesh, the general consensus is that he is kind-hearted, polite, and genuinely enthusiastic about whatever he is involved in.
The motto of the Haydet faith is "To learn is to expand the universe."
